TechCrunch Founder Summit 2026 to Address Scaling, Pitching, and AI in Boston

The Boston-based summit on November 4 will feature founders, investors, and operators discussing product-market fit, scaling decisions, AI integration, and effective pitching.

On November 4, 2026, TechCrunch will host a full-day Founder Summit at the SoWa Power Station in Boston. The event is organized by TechCrunch in partnership with Fidelity Private Shares. It brings together founders, investors, and operators to discuss topics beyond fundraising, including customer acquisition, team building, pitch refinement, founder leadership, and scaling strategies both inside and outside traditional startup hubs.

Boston-based startup Toast will be highlighted as a case study of a company that identified a clear customer problem, achieved product-market fit, secured enterprise clients, and eventually went public. Fredette will discuss how a firm can continue to evolve its offering as customer expectations, technology, and market conditions shift, while remaining anchored to the original value proposition that sparked its creation.

Kent Bennett, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, will lead a session titled “Finding Product Market Fit Before You Scale.” The discussion will focus on evaluating customer signals that indicate readiness for growth, and on avoiding premature increases in headcount, spending, or go-to-market activity. Bennett’s perspective is intended to counterbalance the prevailing pressure on early-stage startups to accelerate rapidly.

Rudina Seseri, founder and managing partner of Glasswing Ventures, will present a session on deciding when to accelerate growth and when to apply restraint. The discussion will explore how founders can differentiate moments that merit scaling from those that require caution, emphasizing that disciplined decisions can be as consequential as aggressive moves. Seseri’s talk aims to help founders balance trade-offs between expansion and sustainability.

The agenda includes a conversation on artificial intelligence and its impact on product architecture and operating models. Chase Garbarino, CEO and co-founder of HqO, will deliver “The Boston Founder Playbook,” examining how companies built in Boston navigate talent acquisition, customer outreach, capital access, and community engagement outside the Bay Area. His remarks will illustrate that ambitious firms can thrive in regional ecosystems without replicating Silicon Valley practices.

A live pitching segment titled “So You Think You Can Pitch?” will feature founders presenting to an investor panel that includes Chirag Shah of Define Ventures and Simran Suri of Maveron. Additional speakers such as Hunter Worland of NEA, Vineet Edupuganti of Cogent Security, and Tina Tosukhowong of TDK Ventures will discuss distribution advantage, building high-performance teams, and identifying category-winning signals. Fidelity Private Shares will contribute perspectives on fundraising trends and enterprise relationships, followed by networking and a closing reception.
